For those of you roundworlders, this is a fairly dramatic and poignant scene from Terry Pratchett's novel "Going Postal".
We have Moist von Lipwig embarking on an impossible race, and his sweetheart Adora Belle Dearheart. He's just proposed to Miss Dearheart, and her resonse is to blow a smoke ring (a ring, get it?) at him and reply, "Not Yet."
The characters in the background are Reacher Gilt (with parrot), Sacharissa Crisplock, a reporter for the Anhk-Morpork Times, and a golem named Pump 19, Moist's parole officer and bodyguard.
Great choice, Charsol. I hope I did the scene justice.
The only liberty I took was to depict Moist leaning out from the side instead of sitting in the passenger seat of the coach. This was because, 1: it's much more dramatic this way, and 2: Moist would be sitting about 7 feet off the ground, and getting him and Adora in the same frame at once would be a really tricky shot.

Thanks to Cat, Rich and Sean for posing for me.

This is perfection. Moist is such a showman, and I like his dramatic pose. I like how Adora looks calm yet happy to see Moist and Mr Pump having the number 19 engraved on his head. And Reacher looks like such a pirate!
Fantastic illustration of the scene. I love Moist's dramatic pose - that's exactly how I imagine him, not only his speech being flamboyant and larger than life but his body language the same.
I love the bookish style to the illustration and it captures both the mood and the characters very well
I just finished the book- I never thought I'd find fanart anywhere!
